ABOUT HYROX CLASS

BPM Fitness Centre is the first HYROX affiliate gym in Victoria, BC. With all the equipment you need to succeed at HYROX, our facility features a 55′ turf, sled, kettlebells, ski-ergs, row ergs, sandbags, wall balls, and more so you can crush your next race!
 
This 60-minute HYROX class is a comprehensive training session designed to prepare participants for the unique demands of the HYROX fitness competition, which integrates endurance, strength, and functional movement into a single, standardized event.
 
Each class focuses on improving cardiovascular fitness, muscular endurance, strength, and overall physical conditioning through a variety of exercises that mirror the challenges found in a HYROX competition. This class will focus on the sled push, sled pull, wall balls, sandbag lunges, ski erg, row erg, burpee broad jump, kettlebell farmer carries, and running. Appropriate for any fitness level, new to exercise or seasoned athlete, give HYROX a try today!

WARM-UP

Your Coach is ready to help you get the most of your workout with a 5 to 10-minute warm-up that’ll get your heart pumping, muscles thumping, and body ready for action.

DEMONSTRATION + SKILL

Every Hyrox class is different, and our Coaches are trained to get you as ready as possible with exercise demonstrations and skill work. We’ll teach you the necessary techniques and biomechanics to get the most out of your workout and succeed at the HYROX race.

GRIND TIME!

Get ready for 60-minutes of sweat! Our Coaches will guide you, support you, and motivate you every step of the way. Whether you’re new to exercise or a seasoned athlete, we’ve got you!

STRETCH/COOL-DOWN

This is when we cool down, focus on recovery, and celebrate one kick-ass workout. We’ll target the main muscles we used in the class to ensure you achieve the best recovery possible.

12-WEEK TRAINING PLAN

The below 12-week HYROX training plans will enhance your running skills, build strength, and prepare you for the 8 HYROX stations. BPM offers a fully remote HYROX workout plan and a plan + personal training option (recommended). Both plans include 3 unique running days, 1-2 gym days, and 1 mobility/recovery day depending on the person. 

RUNNING THE HYROX RACE

HYROX is the ultimate fitness race, combining endurance, strength, and functional fitness in one grueling competition.

Participants complete 8 functional workout stations, each preceded by a 1,000m run (1 KM), testing your stamina, power, and mental grit. The event is designed for all fitness levels, from beginners to elite athletes, with different divisions (Open, Pro, Doubles, and Relay) to match your skill level.

Unlike other races, HYROX is held indoors, providing a consistent, standardized competition worldwide, making it easy to compare results across events. Whether you’re a runner, CrossFitter, strength athlete, or novice HYROX challenges every aspect of your fitness and pushes you to your limits.

TRAINING FOR THE HYROX RACE

The specific nature of HYROX stations and cardiovascular demands highlight the importance of proper hybrid training for the race; therefore, BPM has developed 12-week HYROX training plans to help you excel at the event.

HYROX PLAN + PERSONAL TRAINING

This 12-week plan includes one personal training session/week plus the HYROX specific in-app plan including videos, tracking, and more. This plan includes 3 running days, 1-2 gym days, and 1 training session/week plus 1 optional mobility day.

Cost: $129.99/weekly

HYROX WORKOUT PLAN

This 12-week HYROX workout plan is great for the experienced gym-goer. It includes an in-app HYROX specific plan including videos, tracking, and more. Which includes 3 running days, 2 gym days, and 1 optional mobility day. This plan is best for those who are self-directed and confident in the form of the 8 HYROX Stations.
